In 1989, a parent needed home care services for her seven-year-old daughter, who has Down Syndrome. Both personal care and therapy personnel were hired to work in the safety and comfort of their home. This parent’s personal knowledge of home care needs and business led her to incorporate Alliance Health Care in October of 1990 as a Personal Care Agency. In 1992, Alliance began providing in-home family support, and in July, 1993, became a Class “A”Licensed (now known as Comprehensive License) home Health Agency and state enrolled medical supplier. Since our first PCA and therapist in 1989, Alliance Health Care has grown into a home health care network with approximately 1500 clients, 2000 employees, and three regional offices throughout Minnesota.
