Most services require a diagnostic assessment to assess strengths, functioning, and mental health diagnoses.
What types of therapy do we offer?
Individual Therapy for Children, Adolescents, and Adults
Alliance Health Care offers therapy for ages 5+ who are at all stages of life. We offer in-office therapy and telehealth therapy for most major insurance plans (BCBS, Hennepin Health, HP, Medica, South County Health Alliance, UCare). We offer in-home therapy for those who are on medical assistance (MA) and pre-paid medical plans (PMAPS).
Relational and Family Therapy
Relational Therapy is an opportunity for people who are in a significant relationship (couples, roommates, parent/child, poly, etc.) to have an independent objective person help them process their relationship and assess communication patterns. This service is offered via telehealth and in-office. Insurance and private pay options are available.
Family therapy includes the full family system and helps the family heal and move forward while looking at relationships and communication within the family unity. This service is offered via telehealth and in-office. Insurance and private pay options are available.
What is therapy?
Therapy is an opportunity to talk to a trained clinician about barriers that are preventing you from living your life to the fullest. A therapist will help you with making realistic goals to address your mental health symptoms and help you move forward from adverse events that may have happened in your life.
How often do I attend therapy?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and occur on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Therapy can be short term or long-term depending on your individual needs.

Our philosophy is based on person-centered and culturally relevant care. We welcome individuals from all cultures. Our therapy caters to the LGBTQIA+ population, severe and persistent mental illness including anxiety and depression, those who have experienced trauma, and those experiencing life transitions.
What is ARMHS?
Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services is a supportive program for eligible adult clients with a mental health diagnosis.
Services are provided in the home and/or community using a collaborative approach to promote understanding of diagnosis, coping skills, use of community resources and integration, skills, relapse prevention, employment related skills, transition to community living, home and organizational management and self-care.
How frequently does ARMHS meet?
ARMHS typically meets weekly for 1-4 hours depending on goals identified. Appointments can be via telehealth, in-home, or in the community.
Who can receive ARMHS services?
Alliance Health Care is certified in the following counties Anoka, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Carver, Washington, Blue Earth, Sherburne, Stearns, and Benton.
Recipients must have Medical Assistance or coverage through a Prepaid Medical Assistance Program (PMAP), for example BCBS, Hennepin Health, HP, Medica, South County Health Alliance, UCare, Metropolitan Health Plan.
What is peer support?
Peer support services are specific rehabilitative services emphasizing the acquisition, development and enhancement of skills needed by an individual with a mental illness to move forward in their recovery. These services are self-directed and person-centered with a focus on recovery.
Who is the peer specialist?
Peer specialists are individuals who have a lived experience of mental illness and are trained to be direct service to those who receive ARMHS.
How frequently does peer support meet?
Peer support typically meets weekly for 1-2 hours per week. Peer support can meet via telehealth, in-home, or in the community.
Who can receive peer support?
Recipients must qualify for ARMHS and be actively engaged in ARMHS services to receive peer support.

Types of Groups Currently Available?
Peer Support Group
This is our flagship group that everyone is welcome to! This group centers on building relationships, decreasing loneliness, and improving communication. This group meets via telehealth every Wednesday from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. We are planning to open a day time for this group soon so keep checking back.
Therapy Group – The Relationship between Physical Health and Mental Health
Join our clinical trainee therapist, Erik Kersten, as he delves into the complex relationship between physical health and mental health. This 8-week group use psychoeducation and group activities to improve our own relationship between our physical bodies and grow our understanding of the complex systems between. The wait list is open for this group currently so email us if you are interested in joining the group and a day/time will be announced once the group has enough participants.
How to best love and support your fantastic transgender youth
Wondering how to best love and support your transgender youth? We'll give you new tools, practical ideas, and a strong support system with people who get what you're experiencing. You'll grow your confidence as you learn to skillfully navigate this new emotional and practical territory.
Who: Parents, guardians, teachers, and others who love and care for trans youth
When: Wednesdays from 11:30 am to 1 pm, starting as soon as we fill the group
How long: 12 weeks
Where: In-person at Alliance Health Care, 2260 Cliff Road, Eagan, MN
Cost: $600 for the 12-session course. Ask about scholarship availability
